Yellow Creek Township is located in the southeast portion of the county near East Liverpool and Wellsville. The population for the township is 2,140. It is interesting to note that Yellow Creek Township is located at the lowest point in the county, at 652 feet.

Yellow Creek Township had one of the first schools in the county and it opened in 1800. It is the only Yellow Creek Township statewide. Yellow Creek Township has access to Routes 7 and 11. The historic Daniel McBean Farmstead is located in Yellow Creek Township.
