About Summitville
Summitville is located in the south-central portion of the county. The population for this village is only 135. The village has access to Routes 7 and 11 via Route 30 and 39 heading east, and Route 77 via Routes 30 and 39 heading west.
For those who like the outdoors, Summitville is located close to Highland Town Wildlife Area which encompasses 2265 acres of land. This park offers a 170 acre lake and provides good fishing for yellow perch, white and black crappies and bullheads. Another point of interest is that Summitville leads the nation in tile production, this can be contributed to its geology which is rich in clay and shale.
