The village of New Waterford is situated in northeast Columbiana County, located between Columbiana and East Palestine and within Unity Township, and is home to 1,238 residents and.
The village was founded in 1851 as a saw and gristmill center. These industries were possible because of Bull Creek that runs through the village. Today, these mills are gone but other industries remain and have expanded overtime such as the pottery industry.
