Located in the most northern portion of the county is Perry Township. The township has a population of 16,850. The township is named after Matthew C. Perry who served in the War of 1812 and the Mexican War.
Perry Township has access to Route 11 and nearby State Route 14 will take you to Cleveland in the north and Pittsburgh to the south via Route 376 in PA.
Salem, the most populated municipality lies within Perry Township. Perry Township allows one to enjoy all that Salem has. It is also a short drive to historic Leetonia Beehive Coke Ovens.
